I’ve worked on many great projects, but also some terrible ones. In an attempt to understand what makes a good or bad project I started writing lists. These lists have evolved into notes on a website, a guide for clients, designers, developers or anyone interested in creating websites.

Scottish Schools Orchestra Trust

The Scottish Schools Orchestra Trust (SScOT) has been inspiring young musicians through non-auditioned residential courses since 1985. In partnership with Wyllie Cat Design, we designed and developed a WordPress site to promote their summer programmes and streamline applications. Launched in 2018, the site balances warmth and clarity—helping families connect with an accessible, high-quality musical experience.

Move well, move often. This is our manifesto. Joe Pilates was a boxer, a gymnast, a bodybuilder, maverick and visionary who called his method Contrology. We call it Pilates. At our full equipped Edinburgh studio we teach the whole person and the full Pilates method on raised mats and classical apparatus that Joe himself designed.

John Muir’s Birthplace

A museum celebrating the life and legacy of John Muir—writer, explorer, and pioneer of modern environmentalism—housed in the building where he was born. In partnership with Wyllie Cat Design, we designed and developed a WordPress site to support the museum’s exhibitions, learning resources, and visitor information. Launched in 2017, the site offers an engaging introduction to Muir’s story and the landscapes that shaped him.

Celebrating Scotland’s vibrant and diverse gin scene, The Scottish Gin Society connects enthusiasts with distillers, events, and the latest in botanical brilliance. Produced in collaboration with Closer Creative, the site was launched in 2017 as a hub for news, reviews, and community. Built on WordPress, it delivers a content-rich experience around for Scottish gin.

A beautifully appointed 3-bedroom apartment in the heart of Ax-les-Thermes, offering year-round access to skiing, thermal spas, and outdoor adventure. I designed and developed the site using WordPress Multisite with multilingual support and a central booking calendar—creating a seamless experience for both English, French and Spanish-speaking guests. Launched in 2016, the site continues to attract visitors to this charming Pyrenean retreat.

A contemporary coastal home set on a pebble beach with sweeping views across Loch Ewe. Originally launched in 2004, the site was fully updated in 2016 with a responsive WordPress build and new client-supplied photography.
